Week 3 challenge
This week we learnt about the 6 forms of energy. We also looked at four sources of energy: heat; light; movement and sound. See how well you understood this week's work by completing this challenge :)
1. Write down the six forms of energy.
2. Look at the pictures in the box below. Link each picture to the form of energy it represents.

Week 4 challenge
This week we learnt about how energy is transferred from one object to another. We spoke about the input and output energy. Let's try the challenge...
State the input and output energy for each picture below:
a) b) c)
d) e) f)
Remember: start studying for NST test!
Week 5 challenge
We had an exciting week learning about soundwaves and how the ear works. There are many different ways I could test you on this topic. Let us try a few for this week's challenge...
Watch the two video's on the left hand side of the page on The Ear to help you answer the questions:
1. Fill in the missing words in the paragraph below.
2. Label the diagram of the ear.
Sound travels through _________ in a zigzag pattern towards the outer ear. The outer ear consists of two parts, the ________ and the ___ ______. The sound waves hit the _____ ______. Behind the eardrum are _______ little bones called the hammer, ________ and _______. The _________ is closest to the eardrum. The sound waves then travel to a "round shell"-looking device called the ________. we find tiny little ______ in the ________. Week 7 challenge
This week we are working on our exciting project of building a Pizza Box Solar Oven. You will need to write out the steps on how to make your Pizza Box Solar Oven in y our project pages. Watch the video and pause it while you you write out each step. Remember to check your work before you hand in.
WELL DONE! You have spent the last two weeks working fantastically on your projects - your Pizza Box Solar Ovens! There are just two easy tasks for this challenge:
1. Take a look at the pictures that were taken of you all working so hard! Click on the Gallery Page to see them.
2. Think of something you could make using your pizza box solar oven. If we have time in the next two weeks... and if it is sunny.... we can bring our ingredients to class and make some snacks using our oven.
Week 8 challenge
